First off, I want to apologize for not posting anything this week. I was doing my best not to write about what everyone else is writing about. To be honest about it, the Raiders just flat out bore me. Nine straight, and it will 10 after this weekend is over. Yet the Raider Nation all of the sudden has a new found confidence because they have A win. One win.
The back and forth between the fans of both side always starts well, but once the real verbal punches are thrown, Raider fans can only go to their bread and butter “How many rings do you have?”. We don’t have any. But we do have a team that has kicked your teeth in the past 5 seasons. They always want to talk about the past. The old “Al Bundy” syndrome. But remember this, that’s all they’ve got. That, and a guaranteed spot in the Top 5 in the draft…EVERY YEAR.
They may try to hate on the Bolts. But just look at the Raiders fans and tell me what jersey they are wearing. I can almost guarantee you that it’s someone who doesn’t even play for them anymore. It’s because they are ashamed of the sorry excuse they call a football team. Living in the past, like always.
So when they ask how many rings they have, just reply “3″…which is the same number of wins they will be lucky to end up with this year. And don’t forget to say it loud, and say it proud “RAIDERS SUCK!”
