Build a bridge…AND GET OVER IT!

It’s Wednesday, and all the talk this week was nothing but Ed Hochuli, and THE call. In my last post, I half-jokingly said that an apology would be nice. And Charger fans, we got it. Mr. Guns, showed us his human side and did in fact give us what I feel was a sincere apology.

“Affecting the outcome of a game is a devastating feeling. Officials strive for perfection — I failed miserably. Although it does no good to say it, I am very, very sorry.”

We asked. We received. With that said, it is time to stop crying about it. It’s time to move on. The season is far from over. There is alot of football left. It’s time to get back to Charger Football. Mr. Hochuli, manned up, admitted he was wrong, and said he was sorry.

Now it is our turn to man up. It’s time for us to support our team in a time where they need us the most. We don’t want to start off 0-3. We are better than that, and everyone knows it. It is time for us to show what separates us from the others. Stop talking about what has happened in the past. The time is now. If we continue to dwell on what was, or what could have been, we aren’t going to make progress. Just look at it like this…What fans always talk about how good they used to be? What fans can’t get over a bad call, maybe a tuck rule, or something? What fans got a tattoos of their teams logo on them, but can’t name 10 players on their team? That’s right, RAIDER Fans. If we don’t get OUR act together, and don’t stop being little bitches about last week…then we aren’t any better than them. I’m not afraid to say it, because I know for a fact we are better than that. We are better than that in every aspect imaginable. Our fans, our team, our city, our organization. Like in Anchorman, “Stay classy San Diego”.

So join me as I send a message out to Mr. Ed Hochuli (from all the REAL Charger Fans)…WE FORGIVE YOU.

We can’t change the outcome of the game. But we can change the outcome of the season. To all my Charger Family, “Build a bridge and get over it. Don’t jump off of one!”
