LT’s Walkoff TD, in overtime, Sunday vs. the Titans -

That’s right, the magic number is down to “1″. All the Chargers need to do is win one of the last three games OR the Denver Donkeys need to lose one of their last three…that’s all it’s gonna take to wrap up the AFC West for the third time in four years. It’s such a difference from the terrible 1-3 start, is it not? Let’s hope that Reebok changes the color and/or design of those “Division Champions” hats. Seriously, do we need another generic black hat with the bolt in the middle? I don’t know about you, but aren’t you sick of stupid Raiders fans saying “Those are black and silver because they were meant to be made for the Raiders”. So please Reebok…do something…anything.

So getting to that heart attack of a game yesterday..WOW! Oh my God! And Yessssss! Now that’s what I call a TEAM victory. Team as in Together-Everyone-Achieves-More! And together they did it. Everyone had a hand in the win- offense, defense, and special teams. It may not have been the prettiest win, but it was a solid and meaningful one. It was a road win, which have been hard to come by for the Bolts this year. It was against a team that was in the playoff hunt. And it was against a team who had a 14-point, fourth quarter lead. The Chargers were left for dead with less than 10 minutes to play. And for some good luck, how many of you Charger faithful went to put on a different jersey? How many of you started pacing around? How many lit up a cigarette (or even a “fat one”…everyone has their flavor) to calm their nerves? And how many of you changed seating positions? Everyone has their superstitions. My family and I have way too many…phone call after first touchdown, stay where you were when the big play happened. Everything has to be aligned…And the football gods lined up the stars for our Bolts. With all that said, the Chargers made us proud, they emptied the tanks, left it all out on the field…and left win a big fat “W”.

Thank You Antonio…Gates, for coming back after being on the trainer’s table, pretty much the entire day, and catching some crucial balls…and Cromartie, for getting number 9…get number 10 this week…see you at the “CroBowl”

Thank You Shawne…for your emotion on the field. Although you only played one half, you’re presence was felt the whole game. One of best hits you had was the one that wasn’t even intentional. The one on Vince Young…technically he hit himself…on you. He just wasn’t “right” after that.

Thank You Shawn…for slamming Chris Brown to the turf and ringing his bell, as he prematurely celebrating his touchdown…STI-RIIIIKE!

Thank You Philip…for proving me wrong yesterday. That was a very sick joke you played on us for three quarters. You were about to be penciled in, right next to Ryan Leaf’s Kansas City debut, as worst performance by a Charger QB. However, you sucked it up, put it behind you, and was more like Stan Humphries.

Thank You LenDale White…for trying to do all our celebrations…LT’s lay-up, Merriman’s “Lights out!”, Cooper’s Kick, and The O.G.’s (the “Other Guy”) bowling…That just fired us up…So if you’re gonna do it, do it right…And more importantly, get the victory!

Thank you God for answering our prayers, and letting us survive Titans, and their U-G-L-Y cheerleaders (ok, there might have been 1 good looker..but that might even be stretching it). Good thing the HD cameras weren’t there to subject us to those hideous gals. Are there really no hotties in all of Tennesee? I guess us San Diego folks are just blessed with our lovely ladies.

And that leaves me to thank God one more time for not having the HD cameras there…there would have been more angles, and they might have caught an angle that might gave shown the 4th-and-5 pass touching the turf…But we ALL know it didn’t…1st Down! Chargers win!
